Publication of the gliding ant discovery in Nature was accompanied by a substantial amount of media attention, thanks to Bob Sanders and Julie Huang (UC Berkeley), who put together an outstanding multimedia press release.  Excellent releases by Tom Curtis (UTMB, Galveston) and Beth King (STRI, Panama) also helped spread the word.
